Spring is here and it will be summer before you know it! To get more toned and energized, I love doing yoga either at home or going to my local yoga studio. I have a small collection of sporty clothes – enough to cover my low compact exercises like yoga and pilate. In addition, wearing cute and sustainable yoga clothes makes me feel more powerful in my warrior posses. 😛
Below are 5 affordable eco-friendly brands I wear. Everything shown is under $40 (if on sale, they can be under $10). From the yoga mats to the living room couches, here are some comfortable clothes to wear:
I first encountered this brand at a Whole Foods Market. The Shelf Bra Camisole made with organic cotton was my first purchase, and it didn’t stop there. I have since then tried their heavenly soft tanks, underwear, socks, and tights. I even got men’s socks and boxers as Christmas gifts for my fiancé and they are super nice too.

Threads 4 Thought
Threads 4 Thought uses organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Lenzing Modal as their main materials.
My first and only purchase from Girlfriend Collective so far, and I love it! The sports bra is soft, and easy to put on and take off because it’s really stretchy. I got mine from Reformation for $38.
“Girlfriend Collective focuses on humane manufacturing, meticulous design, and sustainable materials. Made using recycled water bottles- 79% RPET and 21% spandex.”— Description of Paloma Sports Bra from Reformation
For women and men’s vintage and worn-in look, try Alternative. Their “eco-jersey” uses recycled polyesters and organic cotton. Both the tee ($32) and the cropped joggers ($32) are soft enough to sleep in. I got my Alternative tee on NordstromRack sale for under $10.
