Acure Sheet Masks are No Good for Sensitive Skin: Beauty Shelf Update #8

Sorry but it’s not always good news on Beauty Shelf Update. This review is a negative one about Acure sheet masks. In short, I don’t recommend them to anyone who has sensitive skin and I hope to save whoever is reading this some money.

Even though I don’t use sheet masks consistently, I did like the ones from Innisfree. Sheet masks give me a mini-spa at home and make me feel like I’m taking care of myself better.

When I saw these sheet masks from Acure I was so excited to give them a try. Since I have been loving my Acure purchases (positive reviews here, and here), I held my expectations high for these masks.

Both masks disappointed me. The sheets were fairly thick and didn’t stay on my face well. Most importantly after leaving them on for just under 30 seconds, the formula started to irritate my skin. My face felt hot. I never had a problem with Acure until then.

Acure Sheet Mask

Because I had a horrible sheet mask incident before, from another brand, I knew I didn’t want to repeat history. So I took off the mask immediately and thoroughly rinsed my face.

I am not sure why this happened. Maybe I’m sensitive to Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid on my face?

Looked great on paper but they didn’t work for me 🙁

I really wanted to love them but unfortunately, I don’t recommend these masks to anyone who has sensitive skin.

Moving on to try other sheet masks! I hope to bring you more good news in future beauty shelf updates.
