Thinx Panties and Sleep Shorts Review

Thinx Panties and Sleep Shorts Review

Pads, tampons, cups, period panties....there are so many options for period time. Leak-proof panties from Thinx are my choice for lighter days and also as an extra layer of protection on the heavier days. I encountered Thinx a few years ago, and instantly fell in love with the liberating feeling of going all-natural during my monthly cycle. And since they are washable and reusable, they are more sustainable compared to disposable pads and tampons. Win and win.

Thinx Panties in 3 Styles

Out of the three styles I currently have: Hi-Waist (in leopard and black), Hiphugger (in beige) and Cotton Brief (in grey and black), I like the organic cotton Brief the most. It doesn't look as sexy as the Hiphugger or Hi-Waist, but it's oh so soft.

Each panty can hold what 1 regular pad can. After each use, rinse, machine wash and hang-dry. No need to machine wash them separately.

I also like to wear them when I feel my period is coming soon but not yet....on days when my body gives me signals and I'm anticipating my cycle to begin any moment, but don't know exactly when.

Sleep Better in Thinx Sleep Shorts

Thinx Sleep Shorts Review

Thinx Sleep Shorts Review

It's especially a relief for me at night time, knowing I won't have any "accidents" on the bedsheet or duvet. And this is where the Sleep Shorts are best for!

Period Sleep Shorts from Thinx hold up to 4 tampons worth, come in black and grey in size XS to 2XL. For reference, my hip measurement is 36" and I am a size S in Thinx.

These pajama shorts are a collaboration between Thinx and Parachute. They come with a hidden period panty inside. The shorts are made of soft and stretchy modal, and the panty is made of organic cotton.

Along side period panties I also use plastic-free disposable pads from Natracare. My next step of making my period more eco-friendly is to graduate from disposable pads altogether and replace them with reusable pads. In the long run this should save me money and more importantly, it's better for the planet.
